The defendants in the suit, Fannie Mae, Bank of America, the apartment’s property manager, and the apartment’s insurance carriers and agent, attempted to remove the case to federal court and ultimately dismiss the case. The firm filed a motion to remand the cause back to state court. The Court granted the firm’s motion to remand, and the defendant’s motions to dismiss were denied as moot. The decision was then published in the Second Series of Federal Reporter and has been since cited 18 times. See, Rincon del Sol, LLC v. Lloyds of London, et al, 709 F.Supp.2d 517 (S.D.Tex.2010).
